This sophisticated, herbal cocktail is a riff on the Old Fashioned - using only (non-alcoholic) spirit, sugar and bitters. The maple syrup adds just a hint of sweetness while the Peychaud's bitters brings licorice and Bax Sea Buckthorn is a riot of fresh herbs and minty freshness. A beautiful pre-dinner aperitif!
- 1.5 oz / 3 tbs Bax Botanics Sea Buckthorn
- 1 tsp maple syrup
- 2 dashes Peychaud's Bitters
Add all ingredients to a rocks glass and swirl gently to combine. Add a large ice cube. Garnish with an orange twist: first squeeze it over the glass to express the oils, then nestle it around the ice cube.
