When you refer to something as 'the bee's knees', it means that it is of excellent or very high quality. Whether the phrase comes from literal beeâs knees, or slang for âthe businessâ, the bar doesnât get set much higher for a mocktail of this caliber.
The Bee's Knees is a classic Prohibition-era cocktail made with gin, lemon and honey. Bright citrus flavors emerge from the Abstinence Cape Citrus gin-alternative, lightly sweet from the Honey Syrup, and just a little tangy from the lemon juice. An overall delightful drinkâhence the name. We recommend enjoying it on a nice spring day outdoors.
Abstinence Spirits was our choice for this one because they donate a portion of their sales to support native bees in the Cape Floral Kingdom, learn more on their website here.Â
